A1GP: Incalcitrant Wheel Nut Robbed Malaysia of Another Top-10 Result
in Germany's Main race when Malaysia was lying 5th.
An incalcitrant wheel nut during the Malaysian team's pitstop in the Main race cost the team some 30 seconds and dropped the team from 5th to 16th some 45 seconds down from the winner of the race, France.Alex Yoong repeated his lightning start of the Sprint race when he shot off from 6th on the standing start grid of the Main race to round the inside of turn 1 and emerged in second position behind France!His car however could not match the pace of the stunned chasing pack of Brazil, Germany and Switzerland and he soon dropped to 5th after a few of laps of resistance. He eventually finished in 16th overall position in the hour-long 35 lap Main race as a result of the slow pitstop. The incident filled Main race was won by France with Great Britain and Canada following home in second and third.
Alex said after the Main race, "We are happy to come away with 5 points from this round as the car's ideal balance was never fully achieved all weekend. We have come away with more experience and are looking forward to round 3 in Estoril, Portugal in two week's time." Malaysia now lies 9th in the championship with 11 points after round 2. - Max Revson

I think it really sucks that Alex had to finish way down, it would have been great to see him fulfil his potential, the Sprint Race was kick ass!!!

I was so happy to see the Malaysian team showing their potential. Not because of the pitstop, Malaysia will be in top 10, at least.
Another sore point, Malaysia paper media completely not printing any news about our Malaysia team achievement. what's up with that?
