A1GP Malaysia: Fairuz Brings Home 3 Points With 8th In Sprint Race

France made a late move in the final lap to take an exciting win from Switzerland in the 15 lap Sprint race.

Third finishing Great Britain held off Brazil for third with Netherlands fifth.

Malaysia's Fairuz Fauzy had a goo dstart and moved ahead to 6th momentarily in the rolling start but dropped a couple of spots to 8th.

He made several moves to try to get back his seventh spot from Ireland and one a couple of occasions nearly made the move stick in turn 1.

He maintained 8th to the chequered flag and adds another 3 points to Malaysia's tally.

Malaysia will turn out with Alex Yoong in the Feature race which will be held over twice the distance as the Sprint race.

Tyre wear and fitness of drivers will be big factors in the long Feature race where Alex is hopeful of a podium place if all goes well in the pitstop.
